Therapy Terms and Conditions
The Way I work:
- One to One sessions, face to face, telephone or via Zoom video
- Usually once a week for 50 minutes
- Beginning with up to six sessions, continuing if appropriate
- All sessions are confidential. However, if I have concerns about any information in respect to serious risk to self or others; or you lead me to believe that you or someone else have committed an unreported very serious criminal offence - then confidentiality may be broken. I will always try to discuss these issues with you within your session and advise that confidentiality will be broken. However, in exceptional circumstances I reserve the right to break confidentiality. You will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement at the start of our work.
DNA Policy
If you do not turn up for an appointment or cancel on the day of your appointment, I will call this a DNA (Did Not Attend). I can allow 2 DNA appointments, however, if a third occurs this will result in our counselling arrangement ending. You will normally need to pay a full session fee for DNA appointments.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your appointment more than 24 hours beforehand, I will consider this to be a cancellation. I understand that there may be occasional cancellations for holidays, appointments, illness and such like. However, please be aware that frequent cancellations may result in our counselling contract coming to an end. A cancellation will not be counted as one of your sessions initially. The session is not charged for as long as 24 hours notice is given.
Fees are paid in advance of sessions taking place through the Augmentive platform.
